A proposito delle 'spontanee proteste' del popolo iracheno

:: The "Islamic resistence" called for a general strike in Baghdad next Saturday. A shop keeper told me this morning that the "resistence men" ordered him to close his shop before afternoon and that he should also close the shop on Saturday.

Leaflets have been distributed cotaining a call for a strike with a threat that says "anyone who disobeys this order shall be punished".



I know that a strike is a self-chosen protest method used to express refusal for something or to ask for some demands, but this?! I don't know what to call it.

Ho come una sensazione di deja vu: tutto questo mi fa tornare alla memoria le "spontanee manifestazioni di sostegno" a Saddam Hussein da parte del "popolo iracheno", quelle risalenti ai bei tempi in cui i giornalisti del TG3 (ma non solo loro, a onor del vero) riferivano senza arrossire che Saddam, secondo i dati del plebiscito, godeva del sostegno di oltre il 99% della popolazione.



Chissà questa volta come descriveranno questo sciopero i nostri eroici tele-giornalisti, sempre in prima linea per raccontarci la "verità" e smascherare le bugie degli okkupanti imperialisti?
