Lifelog è un progetto del Pentagono, un super-diario digitale in grado di registrare e analizzare virtualmente "tutto" quello che fa un individuo:
"The project aims to capture and analyze a multimedia record of everywhere a subject goes and everything he or she sees, hears, reads, says and touches."E ancora:
"More importantly, LifeLog's goal is to create breakthrough software that will be able to find meaningful patterns in the timetable, to infer the user's routines, habits and relationships with other people, organizations, places and objects."
Il progetto inoltre non è classified, quindi i suoi componenti potranno essere utilizzati in tutto o in parte anche da compagnie private.
Insomma, un giocattolino potenzialmente molto pericoloso per la privacy - al confronto il Grande Fratello di Orwell sembra ben poca cosa.
