E' un televisore, un monitor per PC o uno specchio? Tutti e tre!

Philips ha realizzato i primi Mirror TV, dei display LCD da 17, 23 e 30 pollici che abbinano le funzioni di televisore e monitor per computer a quelle di un normale specchio.



I primi modelli verranno installati in alcuni alberghi di lusso; il mercato domestico arriverà, probabilmente, in un secondo tempo:

"Perhaps you'll be able to use your hotel room's Mirror TV to watch cable as well as to straighten your tie or apply makeup. But what else? The hotel could configure it to handle bill payment and other hotel services, or to allow you to plug your notebook into the mirror for easy-on-the-eyes e-mail retrieval, or to display room-filling presentations.

Eventually, of course, Philips hopes that the Mirror TV will enter less pricey hotels, and after that (though probably not until 2005) people's homes."

I prezzi dovrebbero oscillare fra i 2.500 dollari della versione da 17 pollici e i 5.500 del modello da 30 pollici: penso che per ora continuerò a farmi la barba in modalità low-tech...
