[Tech] Mini-iPod da $99 da Apple?

Secondo Think Secret al MacWorld Expo di San Francisco del prossimo 6 febbraio Steve Jobs annuncerà dei nuovi "mini" iPod con prezzi a partire da $99.



I nuovi iPod avranno capacità comprese fra 2 e 4GB (sufficienti per 400/800 brani musicali) e un case disponibile in vari colori (forse anche a strisce colorate).



Anche le attuali versioni di iPod, in futuro, saranno disponibili con colori diversi dal bianco.

The addition of mini iPods is not unexpected what with recent comments by Jobs that such a device has been an Apple priority and MP3 industry watchers confirming the market is wide open for Apple to take a lead in technology and offer a better, faster, cheaper, low-end MP3 player.



The announcement of the new mini iPods will be the catalyst for a keynote that will concentrate primarily on music. Numerous sources have confirmed the keynote will be some two-plus hours in length and will be "music centric," as one source put it.

Nel corso della presentazione Jobs parlerà estesamente anche del previsto aggiornamento della suite di prodotti iLife - iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD e iTunes - e di Xserve.



Non è ancora chiaro se i nuovi nati di casa Apple saranno commercializzati immediatamente dopo l'annuncio al MacWorld Expo o più avanti.
